How to Induce Lucid Dreaming – 6 Steps to Lucid Dreaming
1. During the day, look at your hands for 10 seconds. This help's you notice any hand changes that will appear in a dream.

2. As you fall to sleep at night, say to yourself: "I will remember my dream tonight and I will dream about ________." Keep saying this over and over again in your mind, and it will help you remember your dreams.

3. Over and over throughout the day, ask yourself, "Am I dreaming?" Then while you're dreaming you might ask yourself the question, turning the dream into a lucid dream.

4. Another test is a "pinch test." If you don't know if you're dreaming, just pinch yourself. If you're dreaming, you won't be able to feel it, making you realize that you're dreaming.

5. Keep a dream journal and write in it every morning. Keep a notepad or digital recorder next to your bed and whenever you wake up, whether its 3, 6 or 9 am, record whatever you remember about the dream, and if you had a lucid dream, write down exactly how you did it, and write about what happened after you became lucid.

6. Wake up about five and a half or six hours after you go to sleep. A REM cycle is 90 minutes and this can help you wake up when you're dreaming.

Lucid dreaming *will* take practice, so you need to have patient. Sometimes just the shock of realizing that you're dreaming in a dream will wake you up, so try not to get too excited.
