What it's normally used for
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) helps you keep a healthy digestive system and is required for making red blood cells. It is also needed to make sex and stress-related hormones in the adrenal glands.
People take Vitamin B5 supplements and derivatives to help with a range of conditions. These include: acne, ADHD, allergies, diabetic nerve pain, leg cramps, low blood pressure, low blood sugar, osteoarthritis, Parkinson's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and wound healing.
Vitamin B5 is also taken by mouth for diabetic nerve pain, muscular dystrophy, muscular cramps in the legs associated with pregnancy or alcoholism, depression, tongue infections, gray hair, headache, hyperactivity, low blood sugar, improving athletic performance, low blood pressure, multiple sclerosis, enhancing immune function, dandruff, neuralgia, trouble sleeping (insomnia), irritability, and obesity.
What it does for Lucid Dreaming
Vitamin B5 can be used with protein, carbohydrates and Choline to help increase dream vividness and recall. This can be taken before bed or WBTB (Wake Back to Bed) as it acts quickly, but the effects stay for awhile. Vitamin B5 is used along with Choline to create the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine, which is the primary neurotransmitter used in REM sleep. This increases the vividness and the recall of dreams.
My own results
I take Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) after six hours of sleep and I remember more of the dream, where it seems like it's a longer dream.
