The Lucid Dreamer: A Waking Guide for the Traveler Between Worlds is an unorthodox exploration of the phenomenon of lucid dreaming world over the last 5,000 years, recent research, detailed techniques and exercises from each tradition for having lucid dreams, and analysis of the nature of dreaming versus being awake.
This is not a basic introductory book of "how-to" have lucid dreams. It does have many techniques on how to induce lucid dreaming but also covers the science, spiritual and philosophy part of this subject. The author also explains that this isn't three-easy steps but requires a little work. The book is easy to read and is very well rounded. It's a great book to read while being enlightening.
